The prequel to the Giuseppi Logan Project, "Happening: A Movement in 12 Acts" features jazz pianist Thollem McDonas and sax player Jeff Lederer. Giuseppi Logan was scheduled but when he was sidelined due to a broken hip, the session took some interesting twists and turns. In a homage to the very active Occupy protests in NYC where the session took place, Ed wrote a little libretto. Ed Pettersen has earned respect for his own Folk/Americana albums, but it is his nine year effort behind the production of the 3-CD, 50-song compilation Song of America featuring artists such as Bettye LaVette, The Blind Boys of Alabama, John Mellencamp, Freedy Johnston, Devendra Banhart, Folk Family Robinson (the Black Crowes), Andrew Bird and more, that has garnered him international recognition.   In 2007 Pettersen released his critically acclaimed fifth record The New Punk Blues of Ed Pettersen.
